Before You Go: Weather and Daily Resort Update
Myler ski resort sits at elevations from about 1,950 m to 2,850 m. Weather can change quickly at this altitude, with wind, fog, or snowfall sometimes affecting lift operations and slope openings. Each morning, the official Telegram channel @myler_public posts updates on which runs and lifts are open and current conditions. Check this update on the day of your trip to avoid surprises.
Packing List for Myler: What to Bring
For a day at Myler, consider the following essentials:
Layered clothing: Start with a base layer (thermal underwear), add an insulating layer (fleece or down jacket), and finish with a waterproof and windproof outer layer (ski jacket and pants).
Thermal underwear: Helps retain warmth and wick away moisture.
Ski goggles or sunglasses: The sun and wind are much stronger at altitude.
Helmet: Essential for safety, especially for beginners.
Gloves: Warm, waterproof gloves are a must.
SPF sunscreen: UV exposure is much higher on the mountain, even on cloudy days.
ID/passport and medical insurance: Bring identification and proof of insurance if you have it.
Bank card and some cash: Not all places accept cards, so carry some cash as backup.
Phone charger or power bank: You may need your phone for contacting resort staff or arranging transport.
Snacks and water: You’ll need energy during a long ski day.
Rental Options at Myler
Myler ski resort has a rental center where you can hire skis, snowboards, boots, poles, and helmets. If you don’t have your own gear or prefer not to bring it from Yerevan, renting on site is a convenient option.
Note that the resort does not rent out clothing such as thermal underwear, socks, gloves, goggles, or sunscreen. Make sure to bring these items with you.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Underestimating the cold: Even if Yerevan is mild, temperatures and wind at Myler can be much harsher. Dress accordingly.
Skipping sun protection: Sunburn is common at altitude, even on overcast days—don’t forget sunscreen and goggles.
Forgetting your helmet: Helmets are vital for safety. Rent one if you don’t own one.
No snacks or water: Skiing and snowboarding are physically demanding; bring food and water to stay energized.
Poor transport planning: There is no public transport to Myler. Plan your trip and return in advance.
Getting to Myler: Transport and Transfers
Reaching Myler from Yerevan requires a private car or taxi, as there is no public transport to the resort. If you aren’t driving yourself, consider booking the MylerGo transfer: 8,000 AMD per person round trip for the 2026/27 season. The service operates on weekdays (Monday to Friday) in a passenger car (not a minibus or shuttle), with pickup at your Yerevan address at 09:20 and departure from the mountain around 16:00–16:30, returning to Yerevan by 18:00–18:30. There is space for skis and snowboards, up to four passengers per car, and free cancellation until 23:00 the night before. Booking is available via Telegram or WhatsApp at mylergo.com.
If you use a taxi, agree on pickup and return times in advance, and keep in mind that winter driving conditions can cause delays. For those driving their own car, winter tyres are strongly recommended.
